Flexible. Lightweight. Sturdy.

The story of GearGeek began some 10 years ago when two uncureable fx-freaks wound up playing together in shared musical projects. It became apparent that we both had a thing for unorthodox effect setups and that the sheer amount of metal boxes we were supposed to carry around quickly outgrew our muscles.

After trying out various pedalboard solutions already available in the market, there was always something we were left craving for. Since one of us was a mechanical engineer who works at a company specialized in aluminum products, we decided it was time to do something about the situation.

In our minds, the key element that was missing in all available solutions was flexibility. "If I keep changing my fx setup every few months, how am I ever going to decide what size pedalboard should I get?" This was the question we wanted to tackle. And also: "How am I ever going to be able to haul my pedalboard from point A to B since I was never the weightlifting champion of country X?"

You can even have a attach a mini-sized board on top of a bigger one to build a "bi-plane" -setup or go crazy with mismatching colors, your imagination is your only limitation.

Our pedalboard kits are made in Finland by our partner company Amak Oy www.amak.fi that has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing aluminum parts for heavy industrial use. So you can trust that our constructions have been checked and double-checked to withstand the foot action of even the most rigorous pedal stompers out there.

The modular aluminum pedalboard

  • Modular construction. All boards can be built, modified, taken apart with simple tools.
  • Environmentally friendly. Aluminum parts are 100% recyclable + can be used and re-used in different constructions.
  • Extremely lightweight. All our boards weight under 2kg in their basic setup.
  • Colors. The parts are available in many different colours and you can match them in any way you like.
  • Combinable Blocks. One very unique aspect of our pedalboard design is that you can combine a smaller Dwarfboard -block with a bigger pedalboard unit. Check out the Bi-plane page for more info.
  • Ongoing product development. We've only gotten started with our mission and because our boards will always stay modular, you will be able to incorporate future upgrades and options to your existing base kit.
