We are constantly developing new ideas and concepts to make life easier for all the effect pedal nerds out there. Our own long-standing enthusiasm towards all things concerning effect pedals is what drove us to start this project, so we are very interested in hearing about all kinds of ideas on how You think things should work with pedalboards and effect setups.

Working on the GearGeek pedalboard project has enabled me to combine my two great passions: Music and mechanics. I have worked as a mechanical engineer for 10 years and these years have taught me well how metal bends. In my everyday job I work with industrial clients to find metal structures for their products that are durable, environmentally friendly and look good. The knowledge we have been able to derive from Amak Oy, the company that we manufacture our kits with, has been invaluable in the product development of our pedalboard. Understanding the processes that go into manufacturing a product like this ensures that you can rely on their quality.

I built my first pedalboard when I was 13 years old for the couple of Boss pedals I had back then from a leftover piece of wood and some velcro. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I still feel the same way about pedalboards today. I think that a lot of the appeal of the traditional stompbox setup has to do with the complete modularity of this approach. This was one of the main drives why we wanted to take this aspect even further. The GearGeek pedalboard was born out of our own needs as guitarists and effect freaks. That is why we felt our ideas were worth sharing also with the greater pedal-stomping public.
